Solenostomus halimeda (pesce fantasma Halimeda)..un re nel campo del mimetismo. Scoperto una 15 di anni fa, questo pesce nuota quasi immobile, con la bocca rivolta verso il basso, attorno ad un fondo che lo rende quasi impossibile da vedere. Si nutre di piccoli crostacei, che risucchia all'interno attraverso il lunghi muso. A differenza di vero pesci ago, i pesci fantasma portano le loro uova fecondate tra le pinne pelviche, modificate per formare un sorta di sacchetto, fino a quando le uova sono pronte a schiudersi
