Il tempio di Antonio Canova è una grandiosa costruzione neoclassica posta su un'altura ai piedi del Col Draga a 342 metri s.l.m. Poggia su tre ampie gradinate e su un vasto acciottolato dalle artistiche forme geometriche progettato dall'architetto Giuseppe Segusini. Il Tempio Canoviano è la chiesa parrocchiale di Possagno (TV), paese natale del più grande scultore neoclassico italiano: Antonio Canova (1 novembre 1757-13 ottobre 1822). Il tempio venne progettato dal Canova in più riprese tra il 1804 ed il 1818, aiutato per i disegni da Pietro Bosio e Luigi Rossini, con consigli epistolari di Giannantonio Selva e Antonio Diedo. L'11 luglio 1819 ci fu la posa della prima pietra, tra grandi feste in paese e la partecipazione del Canova e di altre autorità. La spesa del Tempio venne sostenuta quasi per intero dallo scultore; ai lavori partecipò praticamente tutta la comunità di Possagno (che fornì anche alcuni materiali e lavoro volontario) e lavoranti del circondario. Il Canova morì il 13 ottobre 1822, quindi a lavori appena iniziati, ma nel suo testamento affidò al fratellastro, Mons. G. Battista Sartori, il compito di portare a termine l'impresa, cui teneva in modo particolare. Il 7 maggio 1832 il Tempio, Chiesa Parrocchiale di Possagno, fu solennemente consacrato alla Trinità.
