Questo esemplare lo fotografato nell'entroterra ligure, è la prima volta in assoluto che lo vedo, ed lo fotografo in queste zone. Conosciuta come Licenide dei gerani, è una piccola farfalla originaria dell'Africa meridionale (Sudafrica, Mozambico), che a causa dell'innalzamento della temperatura terrestre, e degli intensi scambi commerciali con i paesi africani, si è oramai spostata verso le latitudini settentrionali, giungendo, sulla penisola italiana.
