I fiumi vulcanici islandesi che scorrono tra la cenere visti dall'alto creano forme e linee incredibili, sembra di vedere un enorme quadro astratto. Un piccolo aneddoto che è accaduto mentre scattavo questa foto: Stavo sorvolando i fiumi con il drone, che era a circa 1 km di distanza da me. Ho notato che la batteria era quasi scarica e che mancavano 3 minuti di autonomia. Allora ho iniziato a farlo tornare, ma mi sono accorto che non si muoveva, in quel momento si era alzato un vento talmente forte che il drone non riusciva a tornare fino alla mia posizione. Sul display mi è apparso il comando di ritorno automatico, che ho dovuto annullare perchè in ogni caso non sarebbe riuscito a tornare. Allora in fretta e furia ho cercato una zona senza acqua, ho diretto il drone in quella posizione sfruttando il vento e ho iniziato a farlo scendere. Come se non bastasse a 9 metri da terra il segnale è scomparso. Forse per la distanza o per il segnale, non lo so...in ogni caso, sono partito in macchina (nella mia mente si formavano intanto i pensieri peggiori), e mi sono avvicinato fin dove riuscivo. Poi sono sceso e ho seguito il gps che mi compariva sul tablet. Ho dovuto attraversare un fiume a piedi nudi e qualche torrentello. Alla fine l'ho trovato, a 900 metri dalla mia posizione iniziale, atterrato tranquillo, come se nulla fosse!
