First Martin ... sent on July 25, 2012 (10:53) by Simone Cerisola. 15 comments, 1327 views.

, 1/640 f/8.0, ISO 800, hand held. Oasi di Ostia, Italy. Specie: Alcedo atthis

The first martina never forget ;-).
The backlight does not have many solutions if:
-Use a tap flash sciarita much softened
-Operate with overexposure (deviation of the in-room) ignoring the white sky
Post-production I am not convinced:
-Roost unreal past with obvious noise and softness
If this is the result of a non-crop evaluates the next time to close more the diaphragm.
If you want more detail reduce the iso and using a tripod with remote control .. being a subject taken in static pose allungavi if the shutter speed was not dramatic.
Talk to those who run the Oasis and ask if you can put one or more perches in a more happy for all and find cute.
Hello and good light, laurel
