Day 3 Dopo una bella dormita in camerata insieme a tutti gli altri del gruppo, ci rifocilliamo e ripartiamo per questo terzo giorno di cammino. Il meteo è sempre un pò incerto, ma le previsioni della giornata sembrano buone. Nella prima parte della mattinata faccio pochissime foto, un pò preso dalle spiegazioni della guida e un pò perchè, trovandoci a valle, non c'è una visuale particolarmente favorevole. Il nostro cammino prosegue in totale relax fino a che arriviamo ad un fiume, ci togliamo le scarpe, ci arrotoliamo i pantaloni e ci mettiamo i sandali. Osservo chi mi precede e noto le smorfie sui loro volti, appena metto il primo piede in acqua mi rendo conto del motivo di tali smorfie, l'acqua è GELIDA... Non è molto alta, arriva a metà polpaccio, ma dopo pochi metri comincio a non sentirmi più i piedi. Arrivo alla'altra sponda con i piedi che fanno malissimo, ma subito dopo pochi minuti sento i benefici circolatori di questa pratica masochista :-D Proseguiamo il cammino per un bel pò di km lungo una strada pianeggiante con vista sulle montagne circostanti, ma il cielo è plumbeo e comincia a piovere abbastanza. Lungo questa strada noto subito un monte dalla forma particolare, ricorda vagamente un elmo vichingo (tanto per rimanere in tema Islandese). Per molti km questo monte rimane a portata di Teleobiettivo, praticamente gli facciamo il giro intorno durante il tragitto, tenendolo sempre a distanza. All'ultima salita verso il rifugio, il cielo dona un pò di luce, proprio al di sopra del fiume che scende dal ghiacciaio... Ne approfitto per cogliere con uno scatto sia fiume che "elmo vichingo"...
