Vedere gli orsi a Yellowstone non è, in genere, difficilissimo ma occorre precisare che le condizioni non sono molto favorevoli alle foto perché spesso nascosti fra gli alberi o fra i cespugli con luce scarsa (che costringe ad usare quasi sempre alti-altissimi iso). A queste difficoltà,diciamo,naturali se ne aggiunge an'altra costituita dai Rangers che appaiono "magicamente" allorquando si presentano gli orsi: per loro dovere cominciano a presidiare e circoscrivere la zona tenendo le persone a debita distanza per cui fare una foto decente diventa ancor di più un terno al lotto...Fatta la debita premessa, quella mattina di Maggio scorso fummo fra i primi ad avvistare questo stupendo e grosso esemplare: saliva sulla collina al di là della strada con la bava alla bocca per la fatica. Rapidamente l'abbiamo seguito sul lato opposto della strada per qualche minuto finchè non mi sono trovato di fronte a lui a non più di 15-20 metri e mi ha guardato,contrariato, intensamente...Inutile dire che ho fatto una "onorevole" ritirata prima che cominciasse ad attraversare la strada nella mia direzione.
