Casa Turati Kuliscioff: In corso Vittorio Emanuele, sotto i portici, all'altezza del civico 23, di fianco al Duomo ci sono due targhe: una in bronzo risalente al 1987(quella della foto) e una in marmo del 1948, che ricordano il luogo, dove si trovava, al quarto piano, l'appartamento nel quale vissero Filippo Turati e Anna Kuliscioff e che fu dal 1892 al 1925 il centro di riferimento prima del socialismo e poi del primo antifascismo. Era la sede della redazione della rivista «Critica sociale» e per quelle stanze passarono quasi tutti i principali esponenti della cultura progressista di quegli anni: da Gaetano Salvemini a Claudio Treves, da Giacomo Matteotti a Carlo Rosselli, da Angelica Balabanoff a Romolo Murri. I testimoni ricordano la grande sala luminosissima con vista sulle guglie del Duomo, le due scrivanie, il piccolo divano verde e un tavolino quadrato a tre piedi con piano superiore intarsiato, sempre coperto da libri e riviste. Presenze costanti erano la governante Maria Milanesi, e i giovani collaboratori, oltre a Treves, Ettore Albini, Mario Borsa, e il celebre medico Paolo Pini. Da qui l'8 maggio 1898 Anna Kuliscioff e Filippo Turati furono arrestati con l'accusa di aver complottato contro lo Stato e Turati rimase in carcere un intero anno. Ripresero poi le frequentazioni e le attività fino alla morte della Kuliscioff il 29 dicembre 1925 e alla fuga di Turati in Francia il 21 novembre 1926, lasciando carte, libri e tutto quanto era nella propria abitazione milanese. Anna Kuliscioff ha abitato qui, al quarto piano con l'amato Filippo Turati dall'autunno 1891 (entrambe le lapidi dicono però 1892) fino alla morte, nel 1925. Ebrea russa anarchica e socialista, la Kuliscioff è ginecologa ma viene respinta dall'Ospedale Maggiore “perché donna” ed è costretta a lavorare come “dottora dei poveri” a Porta Garibaldi. Turati morì in esilio a Parigi nel 1932, le sue ceneri furono riportate a Milano con quelle di Claudio Treves il 10 ottobre 1948 e inumate con quelle della Kuliscioff al Cimitero Monumentale. L'epigrafe originale della targa di marmo fu dettata da Alessandro Schiavi, allievo di Antonio Labriola, amico e biografo dello stesso Turati. Critiche e commenti sempre super graditi. GRAZIE.
