18.05.2016 - L'Etna si risveglia dopo mesi di quiete. Il richiamo è irresistibile, voglio assistere, voglio provare a essere lì nel momento giusto. Purtroppo il volere, soprattutto con i vulcani, è un verbo non contemplato...devi accettare ciò che ti sarà concesso. Alle volte l'Etna, quando meno te lo aspetti, elargisce regali meravigliosi. Comincio la salita accompagnato dal respiro ipnotico del vulcano, un suono che adoro e che mi aiuta ad affrontare con più cipiglio l'ascesa. Sono solo, non c'è anima viva. Riesco a 'bucare' lo strato di nubi che ostacolava la vista della vetta. Un altro mondo, che bello; ciuffi di Saponaria non ancora fiorita ma già verdissima ornano i pendii sabbiosi e il contrasto cromatico dona al paesaggio un fascino incredibile. Arrivato a buon punto l'Etna decide di darsi una calmata; psicologicamente mi preparo ad accettare una eventuale totale cessazione dell'attività per ammortizzare meglio la comprensibile delusione. Finalmente arrivo nel punto che avevo individuato come congeniale per l'osservazione. Riprendo fiato e ammiro, poco dopo l'Etna decide di premiarmi e con gradualità comincia a prendere vigore. Prima boati intervallati fra di loro che si infittiscono a tal punto da diventare un suono continuo, potente. Al contempo emissioni di gas e cenere si intensificano sempre più. Contemplo estasiato, siamo solo io e lei in quel punto; le nubi mi arrivano vicino, sento la cenere che cade come una delicata pioggerella nera, la luce del Sole viene filtrata e assume colori rosati/giallastri (vi farò vedere poi di cosa sto parlando), sembra di essere su un altro pianeta. In sintesi assisto al picco del parossismo e resto lì fino a sera. Una giornata simile ti entra nel cuore. Grazie Etna. [TEMA NERO per la visualizzazione] #Vulcani #Etna #Sicilia
