con Canon EF 1.4x II,

E' una foto che richiede una premessa.. I petauri o meglio conosciuti come scoiattoli volanti sono tra i soggetti più difficili e sfuggenti con cui si può avere a che fare !! tant'è che di foto fatte in natura se ne vedono pochissime... Il nome scientifico è Pteromys volans, pesa meno di 150 ed è lungo dai 13 ai 20 cm senza la coda anche se vedendolo sinceramente sembrano di meno.. Ci avevo già provato due anni fa... l' amico Fabrizio che fa documentari e vive per diversi mesi all' anno in Finlandia mi ha messo in contatto con Benga che è considerato il massimo esperto finlandese o almeno uno dei pochissimi che ogni tanto riesce a fotografarli.. Dopo ore di attesa di fronte al nido in mezzo a milioni di zanzare, abbiamo visto una piccola saetta che è uscita sparendo e lasciandoci tutti di sasso! Vista la prima esperienza che è diventata quasi leggendaria tra i presenti ero molto dubbioso se riprovarci ma mi è sempre rimasta la voglia.. e così con la scusa di andare a fotografare gli strigidi abbiamo inserito anche una puntatina dai petauri.. I petauri sono animali notturni che di solito si muovono solo quando c'è meno luce possibile ma questo era il momento migliore in assoluto perchè le mamme hanno i piccoli nelle tane e devono andare a nutrirsi pù volte al giorno.. Benga ha piazzato la rete mimetica davanti alla cassetta nido che sapeva essere abitata e siamo rimasti in dubbiosa attesa.. Questa volta però siamo stati premiati!!! e non solo è uscita con calma ma si è anche fermata a lisciarsi il pelo prorpio sopra alle nostre teste.. Finlandia Giugno 2012
