Questa è la chiesa e la canonica dove dal 1954 al 1967 è stato parroco e maestro Don Lorenzo Milani. In questa canonica Don Lorenzo Milani organizzò nel 1956 la Scuola post elementare per i primi 6 ragazzi della Parrocchia. La scuola si sciolse nel 1968 un anno dopo la morte di Don Lorenzo, ma la canonica rimase la casa di chi abitava con lui. Questo l'ha salvata dal degrado dovuto all'abbandono che, purtroppo, subirono tutte le altre case rimaste disabitate fino agli anni 80" e ha mantenuto quasi intatto l'aspetto di quando c'era Don Lorenzo. Negli anni é ..molto cresciuto l'interesse di quanti vogliono conoscere più a fondo Don Lorenzo,la sua opera sacerdotale e la sua Scuola. Barbiana ormai é meta continua di scolaresche, gruppi parrocchiali, associazioni culturali e sociali, famiglie e singole persone. Nonostante questo afflusso la Fondazione é riuscita a contrastare ogni tentativo di "uso improprio" di questi ambienti e Barbiana é rimasta povera ed austera come ai tempi di Don Lorenzo. Una povertà che di per sé rappresenta un messaggio che non deve essere distrutto. Questi muri trasmettono sofferenza ed idee. Sofferenza di chi era scacciato ai margini della Società ed idee capaci di formare persone libere. Vanno quindi rispettati con comportamenti coerenti che non ne stravolgano l'autenticità e la forza del messaggio. Per questola Fondazione ha deciso di legare il futuro di Barbiana in modo molto forte allo spirito dell'esperienza che l'ha animata. In tal senso ha recuperato ambienti,strumenti didattici, laboratorio e metodo di insegnamento organizzandoli in un percorso didattico che ripercorre l'intera esperienza della Scuola. Non si tratta dunque di un museo, ma di Scuola viva che continua ad insegnare,parlare e formare.
