#accoppiamento

joke of course ... very nice, and I think it's the least beautiful of your "quiver" of the year in Finland, I said!

Milo careful ...... 8-)

Honestly is a picture that, given the time, it gives me a lot of satisfaction .........

This scene despite four trips, I still lack. It will be because I've never been in mating season ...
The photos I find remarkable. I particularly like the setting, with white flowers and the forest in the background, all nicely blurred. And then the expression of two bears that demonstrates the different participation of male and female ...

Thanks Marco!
But most of all thanks because this photo is also a bit 'own: the blurring is not one of my 100/400 but rather that of your 300 f 2.8 ................. ..... ;-)

As I said it's something that I've always wanted to see and I did not expect because they usually mate a few weeks ago and this is a picture I like. Two nights before I saw another pair but there was more darkness and were much more distant but in this case it was the best place to photograph ...

Nature is Nature ...... blessed words of the legendary Kari, usually branded evil, but by Your photo, I would say no!

Nice shot and really nice time and difficult to shoot well in the open.

But the sparrows?

A salutone, fabrizio

Thanks Robbyone!

Hello Fabrizio,
the sensational thing is that Nature is nature and was also the motto of Yani ...... and more!
For the sparrows this is a terrible year! Or at least it is for strigidi because of the almost total lack of mice and this lack of prey has meant that there were no nesting or almost! The 'single nest owl of Lapland was close to Oulu but the chicks have fledged three days before our departure ...., even the howls of' shadow ... only a few of Ural owl nest but not too interesting ...
This sudden decline of the population of small rodents is cyclical but in this case is stronger than usual and seocndo all the experts will take a few years before the situation gets back to normal, and second this will causea probable decrease in the population of grouse and other birds because predators such as foxes or strigidi for food dirotteranno their attention on this type of prey ...: fconfuso:
Only satisfaction of the young owls dwarf and of course the usual place there have been many sparrows type bullfinches, greenfinches, red spikes, etc. .. But as usual I have been involved in more and I was able to photograph ...

Next time we go back to the end of April to photograph the bears come out of hibernation ppena, wolves and wolverines in the snow.

Thanks Marcello,
As usual it takes a little 'perseverance and the right dose of luck ...
The wolves, unlike the previous weeks, in those days there has been seldom seen because they were patrolling around the 'large territory (it takes about 14 days ....) But we believed and finally we saw 3 once about 5 days and I must say it was worth absolutely worth it! Coming soon post some photos and tell one of the most exciting I've ever experienced with animals, when I think back I still skin d 'goose!!

For Svalbard in practice has already been identified with what to do and who to do: we would like to do something as targeted as possible .. Of course we will try to make a group in order to keep costs at a level accettabili .. and I will keep you updated on developments.

Neither did I. I had never seen before and it was a nice surprise because I did not expect that there was mating season
