Iran/Tehran - Pardisan Forest Park. There are about 2150 types of this species in the world. These insects are nocturnal and do not spin a web to catch their preys. These are called crab spiders because of the shape of their front feet and flat body. They hide themselves on flowers and remain motionless there awaiting the bees and other insects while their front feet are quite open. These insects are able to change their color to yellow, white, and pink, and it becomes difficult to distinguish them when they are seated on the flowers with the mentioned colors. When bees sit on flowers to suck sap, the insects puts its feet round the head of the bee and stings it. Poison enters the body of the bee and then the body starts to decompose. The bee then starts to suck the liquid of the body of the bee. The female insect is 2.5-3 mm long, and the male insect is 6-6.5 mm long.
