, 1/20 f/11.0, ISO 100, tripod. Montevecchia e Valle del Curone, Italy.

Coppia di licenidi ripresi da un punto di vista insolito. Ad ali chiuse sono quasi uguali ma dal lato superiore maschio (azzurro) e femmina sono riconoscibilissimi. Ciao

Beppe different, especially perchèl'accoppiamento for the most part is taken up with closed wings.
Here is something extra that makes the shot special.

Would check the more light that seems too shot, perhaps with PS you can recover anything.
It's worth it because the shot deserves it!

very nice Beppe, never recovered in this way, good composition, light maybe a tad strong.

Ps the above, however, has two colors, sure to be female female? :-D

Hello Beppe, you took it seriously, not so easy to find, and even with a light does not exactly lend itself to the macro you were able to control the whole show, congratulations.

Thank you all for the comments.
The image was riprasa 10:30 and this accounts for the light, then the two butterflies were beautiful and it was not possible Vispe stop them and put them in the most favorable position (over water!).

As for who is male and who the female sure I have not, but trying on various sites in licenidi the female is usually darker and less colorful.

I enjoy it immensely, because it breaks the mold position as the "usual" macro!
Congratulations Beppe, I really like it a lot!

Hello, congratulations for the shot! The female is the one above, I think that shows the typical colors of an individual with ginandromorfismo mosaic.
