Micidiali.

Thank you all for your visit and comments, much appreciated. You are right about the noise, but the photo was taken in the late evening to ISO high and, I confess, I do not have the right software for noise management. Then if we put my skills in the management of noise in post production ... :-(
Best wishes to all.
Marco.

Quoto your caption, between them, the Greys and Egrets are formidable hunters even outside the swamps, a great catch, and given the conditions of shooting a good job, congratulations and greetings, hello, Ricky! ;-)

Thanks Richard for the passage and the comment. These herons are really ruthless and during hunting are so focused in capturing the moment of capture that if you do not move too you can take pictures at a distance not too high (this photo was taken about 30 meters away). Unfortunately, the light was dim, the sun had set and the picture is a little noisy and despite being intervened on noise reduction in Camera Raw I could not do better, of course, without losing detail. I am glad that despite the high ISO the D800 has maintained a very good color fidelity.
Best wishes.
Marco.

Rinaldo, you're absolutely right! They kill animals just for their survival.
Best wishes to you and thanks for your visit.

This surprised me, but the fact remains that it is a very beautiful bird, elegant especially in your portrait. Bravissimo.

Hello Joseph, the beauty of having our passion, the photographic mean, is to lead us to observe things that surround us with another eye. Until recently, neither do I. I was aware of it but since I bought the 300 I'm playing to portray animals "in house" and, I admit, I discovered a world unknown to me.
Thanks for your visit, always on time, and I salute you cordially.
Marco.
