Elio Hello, I appreciate all those who challenge themselves ... but here I can not find the reason for your dissatisfaction, maybe it was not what you hoped but I on the other side of the fence I see a beautiful photo plus an object difficult to take, about the your ability and good use of the means used to achieve it ... by that go well, I know that you're the picky amateur astronomers as not a few, but there are people who appreciate the same your photos to the visual impact they create ;-) Greetings, Beppe

Thanks guys for the appreciations.

The nebula is seen quite well I like less the background sky, probably because to bring out the faint nebulosity I pushed hard.

Normally the luminance channel in this case the channel H-alpha should be resumed with the highest possible resolution, is the one that from the image details.
The color information less important in terms of resolution, can be taken with lower resolution and then goes resized in post-production to adapt to the luminance channel ..
What I have in the PC was exactly the opposite.

Beppe agree that astrophotographers are very picky, but many optical aberrations that for normal photography can be tolerated in astrophotography for tipologia objects taken become very unpleasant if not unbearable.
Then there is always the healthy competition as in all fields and that can only be good.

Marzio, maybe some weekends we stand for an evening on the photographic Lesini that for so long I do not frequent.
