La risposta è nell'immagine: i cespugli di sinistra erano più ravvicinati tra loro e per questo la parte sinistra sembra più chiara e uniforme. A destra c'è più spazio tra i cespugli ed ecco che compaiono zone più in ombra :)
A nessuno (credo) verrebbe in mente di scurire selettivamente solo una parte di primo piano, non avrebbe senso a mio modo di vedere :)
