Quello sfuocato delle palme e delle dune spiazza l'elemento umano che volge il suo sguardo verso la luce ma trova la proiezione delle ombre. Ha un'aria quasi rassegnata è combattuto coi ricordi (lo sfuocato) che riaffiorano confusi ma che non vorrebbe si materializzassero e allora cerca di non andare in quella direzione. Ma la nuova via è piena di ombre, di paure, d'insicurezza e con una via che viene troncata e che ci nasconde cosa ci sarà ad attendere il viandante. Rassegnato, con le mani dietro alla schiena, si mantiene al centro della strada in attesa che qualche segnale indichi la giusta via per arrivare alla meta. Bella la scena e bella anche la tonalità che le hai dato. Anche questo, come altri tuoi, è uno scatto che trovo significativo e che rappresenta un momento di vita che molti di noi hanno sicuramente vissuto. Innanzitutto grazie per aver avuto la pazienza di spulciare tra le mie foto! Da un certo punto di vista non posso che darti ragione: le persone sono quasi totalmente assenti nei miei scatti e in un reportage di viaggio questa assenza è piuttosto grave ma..... sono scatti che proprio non so fare. Ancora prima della tecnica e della capacità di comporre in modo interessante un ritratto più o meno ambientato, mi manca la capacità di avvicinare le persone: mi trovo sempre in forte difficoltà e imbarazzo nel chiedere il permesso di scattare una foto a qualcuno che non conosco. Tanto più che ritatti che preferisco sono quelli in cui il soggetto guarda in camera per cui è evidente che non si tratta di scatti rubati ma di situazioni in cui si è creato, anche solo per poco tempo, magari in silenzio, un breve "dialogo" tra soggetto e fotografo. Questa è forse la situazione in cui più mi ero avvicinata alla possibilità di scattare: stavo seguendo a piedi il corso di un bel wadi e questo signore ha incrociato il mio cammino. Si è fermato per un attimo accanto a me e, non so come spiegartelo, abbiamo "commentato" insieme quanto fosse bello quel luogo. Ho avuto il coraggio di scattare una foto solo quando si è allontanato
