Questa foto vuole essere un po' una critica e un autocritica per le tantissime foto di street decisamente "scontate", banali e che non raccontano nulla. Personalmente credo che la street sia uno dei generi fotografici più difficili, certamente non per tecnica o attrezzatura, ma per saper vedere e raccontare. Tra quelle più banali ci metto le foto ai mendicanti (e credo anche irrispettose), ai vecchietti seduti sulle panchine, o più semplicemente alla gente che passeggia, colta così, in modo del tutto casuale. Credo che la foto di strada debba raccontare molto di più, deve saper far immaginare una storia, deve cogliere personaggi particolari, situazioni curiose, o documentare una quotidianità esaltandone le abitudini e le consuetudini, in modo che un giorno possa essere un documento. Insomma la street photography non è semplicemente fotografare chi guarda una vetrina. Come detto sopra, questa mia è anche un autocritica, sono il primo a fare delle street completamente vuote. Mettiamoci d'impegno, pubblichiamo meno, ma con un po' più di consapevolezza.
