Gian hello !! finally a photo as I say:-D:-D:-D does not scream of colors, but it has everything that I like .. a first floor that is well defined, very clean, a nice person and a sky that puts the icing on the cake !!!

if I have to puntigliare on a particular arei put the ice is not formed in the vicinity della'ngolo bottom right .. to give their input line to the Mount in the background !!
for the rest I really like ..

ps if you like the photos from a scaldatina in general .. so the sun is behind .. so I guess it was not full afternoon;-);-)

How beautiful are these places with the white snow for me ... you did a good job even in the reflection (small) of the non-iced.
Bello also excellently colored sky. Contrary to what he writes Gianluca not touch the wb, already the rocks seem hotter than natural, I leave it just like that. A couple of steps left for the lake (pond:-D) more to the right, if it were possible, I would have made.
hello Massimo

Nice clip Gianmarco:-) at the level of composition I would agree with the above by Massimo but I guess you wanted to include, albeit partially, the reflection of the top inside of the "blob" cleared of snow ..;-)
Hello and congratulations! :-)

A thousand thanks to all: to respond to the suggestion

The photo is made at 3pm or so

regarding the composition, was more or less obliged since left there is the lakeside very pendant, see photo below. I was more or less with the stand where there is the path trail to the center frame. I could not go to the lake because the ice was thin thin and I would end up in the water for sure. I agree that as you say would be better, but I did not - I have a vertical shot but I like less

a greeting

beautiful setting, then me and we became great friends Averau now:-D

I think a few more steps to the right you could get them, do not tell me that the bank of limedes gave you problems that you stop the mountains at the rate of 700 mt of altitude per hour;-)

however two notes you want them to do
1- magenta cast in shadow on the above right (no know how you darkened if only the brightness or with curves but you do not understand how it came out)

2- too pronounced vignetting you have applied, for me had to be more nuanced

So much for the technical aspect, for the emotional, you know how I love these places and you once again have them told with such passion.

I tried a square cut:-D ... yes square centering the patch and the image acquires a very different composition validity eliminating the right part that has little relevance and content.
I know that the cut "square" is rarely used. Served perhaps a shift to the right for a vertical shot that included the patch and above the Averau ...
Finally a calibrated especially in shade to white (magenta).

The first cold, the first snow ... excellent composition, perhaps by greater decentralization of what remains of the pond would give more harmony. I agree with Simon, there is a slight magenta cast and excessive vignetting.
For the rest, ok, beautiful image!

Thanks Simone Hilary and Fausto, took note of the recommendations and the reports

this is the shot vertically to how I managed to do it, but personally I do not really like the vertical shots for you can not look good (certainly if one prints them is another thing).
Since I incorciato Fabius, surely he managed to compose good as you say

a greeting and thanks again

I have no foreclosures on "format", in this specific case, I much prefer the vertical cut.
It makes everything more harmonious, while not following the rule of thirds (here we are on a 50/50). Yet it works, a sign that the rules are sometimes broken ...
Great job, really ...

For me verticale..e well 3/4;-):-D:-D
The magenta not vedo..veramente does not see the sampler Ps..nella snow in the shade of blue but there is always with saturation below 30% and given the condition of shadow for me there can be, the landscape I really like and in the vertical version the sky makes bene..taglierei down ..
Congratulations, hello.
