Libelloides longicornis: appartiene alla famiglia Ascalaphidae, sottofamiglia Ascalaphinae può raggiungere una lunghezza di 25–30 mm e un'apertura alare di 38–58 mm. Il corpo è di colore nero, piuttosto peloso, con qualche macchia gialla. Anche la testa è nera, con grandi occhi composti. Le lunghe e robuste antenne nere sono bastonate.
