, ISO 800,

Matrimonio Qatarino: celebrazione dello sposo (solo uomini ammessi).

Personally achito first it seemed like an old photo year 50/60 macchiana taken with a film, I do not know if the effect is wanted or not.

In terms of composition I would try not to cut the sword as the main subject as well as the right hand of the same.

For the blur, I understand that it is a particularly lively ceremony and evening was not easy to plan everything to the fullest.

Obviously it remains one of my personal thought.

Greetings Franco 8-)

Hello Franco .. thanks for the comment much appreciated:-D

I confirm that effect made the idea of ??recreating the film is desired, a little 'because I like a little' to mask the inevitable noise which is generated under these conditions (transport available).

The blur can be said to be tried in the sense that I set the shutter to 1/50 in order to create a distinction between stationary subjects and those who danced. The result did not satisfy me 100% unfortunately .. : Fconfuso:

I agree of course on the side of the hand (more on that of the sword) .. in other shots in the series I found myself close: shooting with a fixed lens and being surrounded by people was not easy .. but you could definitely do better.

WhatBut amazes me is that the gallery where the photo is part has not aroused the slightest curiosity. Ie I want to say .. I was not ever attend a similar ceremony, I had never seen pictures of similar events .. men and children dancing and (symbolically) dueling with swords glittering, people who exhibit Kalashnikov solid gold, all of the tents in the desert. The value of a reportage is also in the scenes portrayed in the show something interesting .. obviously it is not interesting.

Hello and thanks again pass!

Pier Hello, I have seen the whole gallery with attention and put my notes here. However, relative to the entire report and not to individual photos.
You're right about one thing, it is a ceremony where I was not really aware of. It seems to me a very interesting situation.
The first thing I notice is that you're always a little bit too far and too tight, but I think it depends on optics. In my opinion, a 50mm on aps-c is too long for a report.
The good thing is that it seems invisible, I do not see or laid people aware of being photographed.
Then talk with Kalashnikovs solid gold and tents in the desert, but the selection you made from the desert does not come out for nothing. While the Kalashnikov you can only see it in a picture (the second), but lost in the maze of the image. Maybe I tried to do divent3Cbr /> hello.

Hello Simon! As always, your analysis is thorough and that's why they make me very happy .. I offer a perspective attentive to ponder .. and in fact have centered ones that are also in my opinion the weak points of this report: first of all the fact that it is not well contextualized, in fact you can not figure out where the event takes place and then the limit of optics that sometimes I is narrow. 50mm on aps-c are certainly not made to the report, however, sometimes give me a point of view that I find the "original" but the truth is simply that I love this view .. is stronger than me.

The basic problem I think is the fact that reports are improvised, that was the end of an exhausting day's work when I saw the party and I holed out. It was already dark so impossible to see the desert (ner3Cbr />
Thanks for taking the time and having seen the whole series!

See you soon!
