Sono sicuro che questa immagine potrà suscitare sentimenti contrastanti, ma sono convito che la fotografia street e/o la fotografia sociale debbano descrivere tutto in quanto io, noi come fotografi dobbiamo essere conniventi con quanto ci circonda. Questa fotografia è nata per caso, un giorno ero alla ricerca di un cielo per il lavoro "Un viaggio chiamato estate", e fino a quel giorno non ero riuscito a trovarne uno, giravo sconsolato tra Savona e Albenga alla ricerca di paesaggi cieli che mi donassero la loro bellezza, ma nulla riusciva ad entrare in me ero veramente sconsolato. Un giorno prendo il mio surrogato, come la chiamano gli amici, e decido di andare a fare un giro ad Albenga, me ne avevano parlato molto bene, il centro storico, l'entro terra prossimo. Posteggiata la macchina in periferia mi addentro nella cittadina e trovo il mercato, penso <bel soggetto> e comincio a gironzolare, qualche inquadratura, uno due scatti, ma niente di importante, i mercati stanno diventando come i supermercati tutti simili. Decido di continuare il mio cammino mi addentro nel centro storico, bello, anche qui qualche scatto, interessante ma nulla che centrasse con il progetto che dovevo sviluppare. Qualche ora passa, una birra anzi due, e poi piano incomincio il mio cammino di ritorno, viali, lungomare impenetrabile (troppo edificato dalle strutture), e cielo terso come non è mai stato. Rientro nella zona del mercato dove c'è il vecchio mercato generale coperto, ormai abbandonato al suo destino di fatiscenza, di fronte un largo piazzale adibito a posteggio stretto tra i palazzi e la ferrovia (mi pare di ricordare), il mio sguardo vaga in questo luogo ormai svuotato dal caotico movimento delle bancarelle. Guardo curioso tutto e cammino piano un po' ebbro, ma sicuramente deluso nella mia ricerca, quando vedo lei. La guardo per qualche istante, ho il surrogato in mano, pronta, mi pongo un sacco di domande, decido, la porto al mio occhio scelgo l'inquadratura, scatto, abbasso la macchina resto li fermo a scattare altre immagini mentali e a pensare. Penso a quelle due persone che nell'istante del mio scatto mi passavano vicino e si dicevano che non era giusto fotografare un soggetto e una situazione del genere, non era moralmente corretto e avrebbe restituito un'immagine distorta, povera, del nostro paese, pensavo a quella persona, comunque e assolutamente piena di dignità, che era costretta a fare un gesto, mille volte visto, forse, alla televisione, ma lontano, Africa,America meridionale, Asia. In me non c'è cattiveria, ma la sola consapevolezza che il "terzo mondo" siamo anche noi, l'ottava potenza commerciale al mondo, dove il "dio" denaro ci permette di avere l'opulenza e il superfluo, dove è meglio essere "furbi" che onesti, per poi accorgermi che "mia madre" cerca tra i loro rifiuti. Sono tornato a casa, ho riguardato questa immagine per giorni e giorni, nel dubbio se pubblicarla oppure no, oggi, oggi ho deciso perchè ritengo giusto che questa fotografia sia da ammonimento per me in primis e per tutti noi, dobbiamo cambiare strada oppure tutti ma proprio tutti ci ridurremo così Buona Vita Lino
