Since you know how much I respect you photographically take an opportunity to make an observation on the vignetting that lately in my opinion is a bit 'too overused ... I happen to use it and sometimes I even slip in 'exaggeration but seeing the photos of others (on my my critical mind a little' fades ...) Visto che sai quanto ti stimo fotograficamente prendo lo spunto per fare una considerazione sulla vignettatura che ultimamente secondo me è un po' troppo abusata... Anche a me capita di utilizzarla ed ogni tanto scivolo anche io nell' esagerazione però vedendo le foto di altri ( sulle mie il mio spirito critico un po' si attenua... ) mi rendo conto che questo effetto, quando è marcato ( un po' per me lo è anche in questo caso ) concentra si l' attenzione ma rende l' immagine un po' troppo finta.....
Ovviamente è assolutamente una questione di gusti e si parla di elaborazione e non della qualità della foto ma penso che, quando una foto è tecnicamente ben realizzata non ha bisogno di grandi artifici ed una versione meno spinta e più naturale, almeno per me sarebbe gradevole...
So che, guardando alcuni miei scatti di ritratti/reportage, qualcuno potrebbe pensare che è non sono molto coerente... ma con continuo a pensare che la fotografia naturalistica richiede un approccio diverso....

C' è da considerare che ho sempre puntato ad una diversificazione dei canoni estetici nei miei scatti poichè troppo facilmente la gente tende a considerarti un "manierista" sulla base delle tue scelte di fondo per quanto riguarda la rappresentazione. Qui ad un'esposizione spot sulla volpe ha fatto seguito un lavoro su luci ed ombre che ne evidenziasse l'effetto. Quel che ne consegue è un tipo di illuminazione che quasi si ribella, che emerge dall'oscurità, se vogliamo di tipologia, di matrice teatrale: a me non dispiace (a patto di non abusarne) poichè mi richiama uno dei pittori rinascimentali che preferisco: Caravaggio che con i suoi chiaroscuri ha costruito un linguaggio in cui la dialettica tra percorsi di luce "scavati" letteralmente nell'oscurità e l'oscurità stessa ha finito per rappresentare una forma espressiva d'impatto e reiterata anche da autori del calibro di Rembrandt. Non una soluzione semplicistica, dunque, ma un linguaggio che, senza che si arrivi ad abusarne, può conferire rilievo al soggetto specie se si trova in un'ambiente ricco
di elementi di distrazione..
