Unforgettable Gino (Tribute to Gino Bartali) sent on September 23, 2013 (15:49) by Koda59. 80 comments, 5037 views.

Firenze, Italy.

Tel Aviv, September 23, 2013 - The champion cyclist Gino Bartali was declared 'Righteous Among the Nations' by Yad Vashem, the National Authority for the Memory of the Shoah. You read it on the website of the organization. The decision recognizes the commitment of Bartali in favor of the persecuted Jews in Italy. It was part of a safety net in Florence which took away the enemy the lives of many Jews.

Cbr />
that nose sad as a climb
those bright eyes on a trip to Italian
and the French respect us
that bales still revolve
and you make me - we have to go to the movies -
- And go to the cine you go easy. -

is a whole series of things
that means that I stop here
women were sometimes grumpy
or maybe han desire to pee.
It sets this day in orange
and swells of memories that you do not know
I like to stay behind here on the highway
dusty, if you want to go, go ...
and go that I'm here and look Bartali
stamping on my sandals
from that curve will win;
that nose sad to Italian cheerful
among the French who are angry
and newspapers flutter
There is a bit 'of wind, barking campaign
and there is a moon in the bottom of the blue ...

Among the French who are angry
and the newspapers that flutter
and you make me - we have to go to the movies -
- And go to the movies, you go easy! - "

See you soon! Greetings Koda ;-):-P

Incredible koda, this shot did excite m, a really contemporary hero.
Belonging to the chapters of various sporting achievements with the rival Friend tiles, all our good deeds done in the time of war.
I'm close to bridge a ema dov he was born, and often when step c I'm thinking of him.
Alas now in today's world just gossip and chitchat ....
Great koda're always a great :)

@ Dino Towers:
These are moments of incredible stories and this is a good way to propose them and to think so ...
. Thanks Dino seemed right to propose this photo that I kept jealously hidden in a drawer and I think this is my shot only a small contribution to "revive" through an image, a hero of which our nation can be proud for his for his courage and spirit of sacrifice and an example for cyclists, young and old, who, running at a competitive level, sometimes get trapped and blinded by easy success through the use of illicit drugs and doping. Greetings and thanks for your contribution. See you soon! Koda:-P ;-)

@ Brie:
keep it close the dia
. I will do as you say Brie because this regardless of the artistic value that is not for me to judge has immense sentimental value, I will make a beautiful print and guard jealously. Thanks friend Brie! Greetings Koda:-P

@ Memy:
I've always been a Coppiano but great admiration for Bartali both as an athlete and especially as a man
. But I would have rooted for Bartali first of all because I've always admired him as a man but also because the Tuscans are proud to have had a very high level of cyclist and thickness as the great Gino, also for what he has done to save many lives human from certain death deserves our respect and admiration. That said thank you so much for your nice words. Thank you Memy! Koda ;-):-P

@ Francesco Abbate:
...... this time then: is not the start all over again
. This time I would say no dear Francis, the news is very beautiful and the most significant thing is that these days in Tuscany you are disputing the Road Cycling World Championships that will remain etched in the history of cycling and not for this wonderful news that covers a large hero of our time: our beloved "Ginettaccio" as it was affectionately nicknamed this likeable character, great opponent in the race, but a great friend in the life of the legendary Fausto Coppi. ;-):-P

@ Jamesdouglasmorrison:
m did excite this shot, really a contemporary hero.
.
Alas now in today's world just gossip and chitchat ....
. I also got excited when I saw this photo because it dates back to ca. 24 years ago and then I had approx. 30 years. When you are no longer young is a moment of nostalgia for the good old days, especially since we were not faced with a serious crisis for Italy like today with so many unemployed and precarious while our politicians if they are there to do so many useless talk, just talk and nothing more distinctive ... :-D Hopefully we can get through this difficult time for our beloved nation. A sincere thank you Good evening Daniel and Koda! ;-):-P

Good evening, Koda59. How nice! The myth of my childhood! Right now the Tg. reminded of a dedication to Gino Bartali for helping Jews during World War II. Bravo, for bringing the song of P. Conte. Hello.
