Si tratta di un esemplare in libertà fotografato in località Forca d'Acero, straordinariamente confidente.
Ho avuto veramente tanta fortuna ( e dico poco ovviamente ...) a fotografarlo così da vicino e, francamente, mi sono avvicinato a lui senza molta convinzione di fare delle buone foto altrimenti avrei magari usato un duplicatore sul 70-200 o, meglio ancora, avrei usato il 300 2.8 che avevo in auto.
Rispondendo in maniera più precisa a quanto affermato da Marco, ti posso dire che, sempre nella giornata di ieri, ho fotografato anche la giovane lupacchiotta dell'area faunistica di Civitella Alfedena ma ti assicuro Marco che quest'ultima è molto più in salute della prima, la differenza tra i due esemplari è netta (e non sarebbe stato certamente corretto proporre una foto di un animale in cattività spacciandolo per selvatico).
Però, al di là delle foto e nonostante frequenti il Parco da diversi anni, un incontro così emozionante lo auguro veramente a tutti coloro che amano e rispettano la Natura.

Ringrazio tutti per le belle parole spese nel commentare questa immagine.
Rispondo ad alcune osservazioni e domande.
Ho altre foto dello stesso lupo ma, a mio parere, meno significative di quella postata, le metterò nella galleria.
Ammetto che le mie capacità sulla post-produzione delle foto sono alquanto migliorabili.
Ho utilizzato LR3 per lo sviluppo del RAW cercando soprattutto di mantenere l'atmosfera del momento caratterizzata dalla luce e dai colori autunnali.
Indubbiamente la nitidezza della foto è stata condizionata dalla compressione per il web, ringrazio in particolare Daniele_bologna per la versione che lui ha fornito dello scatto ma, sinceramente, non mi convince molto il contrasto e la luminosità (almeno sul mio monitor). Però non elimino di certo la variante di Daniele, anzi lo ringrazio ancora.
Sempre a disposizione per eventuali altri chiarimenti o domande sull'argomento.
