Beautiful and interesting gallery.
In a world of blind people (perhaps) someone has opened an eye.
Do you know the context and can you give me some further information?

This is the construction site of the ITER nuclear fusion reactor under construction at the CEA center (the French equivalent of ENEA) in Cadarache in Provence.
The reactor is built by an international consortium consisting of China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the USA (I believe it is the only project in which the EU and Russia continue to collaborate).
You can find many details of the project at www.iter.org.
