to be honest to the end even the lavender is blurred but it is the fault of this supersonic butterfly:-D is a moth Macroglossum stellatarum a hyper active as you rightly said. the picture obviously has the limitations of a blurred picture. hello

surely find it if you go where there is' lavender or other fragrant inflorescences is often even to the setting of the sun and always hyper active. if you want to try go with autofocus, sottoesponi and just use the flash (slow sync mode so 'also illuminate the background) to shorten the time and with the flash to avoid the most' can blur. hello

ciao
Carlo

Macroglossum stellatarum or sphinx hummingbird
Also known as the Sphinx Moth, butterfly hummingbird is a migratory species that moves in central and northern in May. It is one of the sphinxes most common and widespread of our peninsula, characterized by an extraordinary frequency of the wing beat, which finds analogy only in specialized hummingbirds. This can be seen in the daytime, in flight "property" of various species of flowers, intent to seek the nectar, which is able to suck thanks to the long proboscis. The abdomen is provided with a dense series of hair blacks and whites, who during the flight can expand and shrink like a fan. Lives on various herbaceous plants.
