... NO COMMENT - NO I LIKE... sent on October 24, 2024 (21:27) by Giovanni e Davide. 30 comments, 855 views.

The law of nature
Someone will finish these young people who have lived a short life
A bloody shot but it is a harsh reality.

But who did it? The cat?
(Edit: I removed the like, I hadn't read that for this image it was not wanted, to tell the truth it was not even wanted the comment).

A raw and dramatic image that demonstrates how harsh the law of nature is.

Dura lex, sed lex (that of nature) 8-)
However, cats often have the habit of giving some of their prey to their owners, as a sign of affection and gratitude 8-)

Unfortunately, there are prey and predators, even if it is regrettable you have to accept it.
Best regards, Vincenzo

it is no coincidence that the scientific name of shrikes is lanius, which in Latin means butcher...
Unfortunately this is the hard law of nature, a very interesting document !!

Nature sometimes appears cruel. I am very sorry for this bad experience of yours. In Rome, crows and herring gulls slaughter small birds and seem to be the new masters of the city. It is curious how this natural reality established itself at the same time as the mafia. To console you, I observe that shrikes are much rarer than in the past. This year I met only one.

A very unfortunate brood....
Interesting document, but were the parents absent?

Shrikes are deadly, just think of how it impales small rodents and lizards... :-/ :-(
Hi Giovanni ;-)

I didn't think that the Shrike preyed on its peers, sorry but I prefer it that way, a natural, interesting document. Hello

You know Giovanni, I think that not being able to impale the pullets for their excessive weight he abandoned them after eating the parts that are easier to tear apart, in fact only by impaling his prey he can tear shreds of meat, but mice and lizards are lighter so he can easily do it, it's my interpretation but it can be ...
Greetings and see you soon
Rob

Dearest Giovanni,
a very sad image that is, however, the "mirror" of life.
If we think that in many parts of the world, unfortunately more and more, the same fate befalls children and defenseless people, it is a real ... drama. :-(

A raw but very realistic image and I agree with what my friends Roberto and Paolo wrote. Contrary to the title, I leave a like only for the proposed document
A warm greeting

Life is hard out there too, there is no shortage of pitfalls and dangers. An animal that kills to feed itself is acceptable and when it has eaten the predatory cycle is momentarily suspended even if in this case, as you say, perhaps the purpose was different, defense of the territory?
Congratulations on this document.
A warm greeting.
Eraldo.
