La Bottega di Stefano si trova in un piccolo borgo nel cuore della valle del Casentino. Terra di leggende e magia, circondata di monti dalle foreste ombrose e da eremi al riparo dal tempo. Per raggiungerla attraverso un Arno che è giusto un ragazzo appena sceso dal Monte Falterona. Sulle rive, ancora offuscate dalla bruma del mattino, scorgo quella pietra bianca che fu materia per scalpellini fino ad un recente passato. Il Laboratorio è proprio sotto casa sua. L'ha costruita in buona parte da solo, intorno ai 30 anni, nelle ore oltre il lavoro. Sì, perché Stefano non è stato sempre un liutaio. Fino a 40 anni era un falegname di pregio, con un capannone nella Valle. Poi, con l'avvento dell'euro, qualcosa si è rotto.
