Sono stato colpito dallo sguardo fisso al cielo di questo magnifico gufo. Lo ha mantenuto, nonostante le tante persone che lo osservavano e che sono qui riflesse nei suoi occhi. Mi sono sentito molto a disagio ed ho chiesto informazioni alle persone dell'organizzazione che lo esponeva alla Mostra del Bitto 2023. Il soggetto non è stato catturato in natura, è nato in cattività. Non potrebbe vivere in natura, morirebbe per fame o attaccato da un predatore nel giro di pochi giorni. Il gufo e gli altri rapaci presenti effettuano voli regolarmente e partecipano alle iniziative dell'organizzazione come testimonial. Sono tornato a casa con un senso di gratitudine verso chi se ne sta occupando, peraltro volontariamente, ma anche con tanta amarezza nel ricordarlo legato al trespolo e.. con quello sguardo fisso al "suo cielo".
