You know that you made me remember my father, when he told me that in the 30s my grandfather and other young men of the place, working on the construction of a driveway between his village and the neighboring one, flattened a rocky ledge by drilling holes and filling the cavities with water so that, freezing during the winter, he would shatter the blocks.
He told me this when, as a child, I asked him what were those two long grooves, regular and thin, still visible on the side of a short stretch of what, then, became the paved provincial road still in use.
Another very representative photograph of those times, this time also of excellent quality :-)
Hello Viola.

Exactly, Bruno! :-D
Bold, with a cigarette in your mouth or between your fingers!
In the face of the pure mountain air! :-D
'Like ibex' was a title I had thought of, you know? Then, however, I preferred this.
Thank you so much for the passage and for the welcome comment!
Hello! Until next time!

Where the Alpini pass, they always leave a positive trace that lasts over the years, starting from the values...

I resumed with the joyful youthful effrontery, which a few years later turned into sadness and fear...
A generation of boys decimated.
A moving portrait still in excellent quality.
Greetings
GG

Magnificent these shots! These memories! Shots that keep alive the protagonists who were.. and that they are still if we continue to think of them.. Paul
