Avevo portato con me un soffietto vecchio di una Exakta con un rodenstock 210 mm 6,3 e un flash circolare posto davanti al lente. La isula o formica bala è l'insetto che ha la puntura più doloroso della zona Maldonado ( foresta Peruana) a parte le mosche ematofage e le zanzare tigre a milioni, le formiche in generale son l'anima della foresta. Questa specie è abbastanza grande e stavo sempre attento a non mettere le mani nei tronchi o nei rami quando dovevo aprire il cammino nella foresta . Usavo un machete o stavo dietro a un biologo. Non ero tanto tranquillo con queste formiche che correvano in quasi tutte le piante e grazie a Dio non mi hanno mai punto.Mi dicevano che se avevo la mala sorte di essere punto nel pomeriggio tardi avrei fatto la notte in bianco. Dopo 3 ore camminando finalmente ho incontrato questa completamente ferma. Ho potuto infocare a mano libera e scattare come 10 foto chiudendo fino a diaframma 32. Un colpo di fortuna
