Total solar eclipse, 21st of August 2017. Combination of 28 selected exposures during mid-totality, ranging from 1/2000 to 1/30s, ISO ranging from 100 to 800. Canon 7D with Canon 400mm 5.6L lens, manually focused and with mirror locked up. Complete sequence was pre-programmed via script in EclipseDroid mobile phone App (total of well over 100 exposures collected). Exposures were grouped, registered and stacked in MaximDL. Visibility of bright stars in all frames facilitated subarcsecond registration, which allowed extraordinary level of detail to be revealed using deconvolution, wavelet sharpening and other sharpening tools. Individual stacked groups then were combined in Fitswork, where various levels of Larson-Sekanina filter were applied to massively enhance local contrast in inner corona. Noise removal was done in StarTools, final color corrections, contrast and color space was adjusted in Photoshop.
