Nell'era di internet, del web 2.0 e dei social network c'è una nuova forma di dipendenza che preoccupa famiglie ed esperti: l'attaccamento, quasi morboso, a qualsiasi dispositivo digitale (smartphone in primis) e l'ansia perenne di essere sempre connessi. Alcune ricerche confermano che, per almeno 5 ore al giorno, siamo in "compagnia" del web e intrecciamo rapporti su chat e social, a scapito degli incontri tradizionali con amici e compagni, come avveniva un tempo. A rincarare la dose, poi, alcuni comportamenti che contribuiscono ad alimentare un ulteriore “allarmismo”: ovvero l'attitudine degli “internettiani” a rinchiudersi nell'assoluto isolamento. “Digital seduction” è un racconto attraverso immagini di questo scenario: la quotidianità di una ragazza, sedotta da un display, in solitudine nel suo ambiente, in un mondo fisicamente lontano, ma virtualmente molto vicino. Completamente isolata da tutto il resto, ma paradossalmente in relazione con persone dell'intero pianeta, senza alcuna interazione fisica.
