Il vento solleva la neve che una sottile lama di luce illumina. -> I Sibillini hanno sempre esercitato un fascino sinistro ed ambiguo sull'immaginazione dei popoli di tutta Europa. Il nome della catena montuosa deriva dal monte Sibilla dov'era la grotta dell'antico oracolo della Sibilla Appenninica. Toponimi come Pizzo del Diavolo o gola dell'Infernaccio tramandano una sinistra fama nata nel medioevo. Una leggenda vuole che Ponzio Pilato, condannato da Tiberio a morte senza sepoltura e legato su un carro di bufali, precipitasse nel lago di Pilato (sotto la cima del Mt.
