at 17mm, 1/30 f/11.0, ISO 100, hand held. Erg Chebbi, Morocco.

I might have preferred a horizontal cut but it is a nice picture! hello, Mario. :-)

Thank you Mario. For the composition I must say that this is the first shot I was purposefully executed and with a vertical cut because I liked the clouds and include as much as possible because it gave me the impression that it might be less confusing to the eye. Then with your own question, I have also performed some cut horizontally, with the inclusion of other elements to the detriment of the sky and sincerely convinced me not.

Hello,
Roberto.

Thanks Gtabbi the problem ... I think that depends on the monitor because the image at the level of light / shadows has a different yield between the laptop screen (use the one for processing PP) and monitor office (on quest ' last shadows are more closed than I appeared on the handset). If I may ask with what instrument you open the shadows and with what values? I usually use shadow / highlights and in this case I am limited to the values, standard (8/30 for the shadows), also referred to in the article by Juza ...

We have used light shadows. Now I do not remember, I 30, I declined the tonal range to act only on the Bedouin and the sand dunes and I discreetly increased the radius. I hope that the memory does not betray me

@ Canopo70: in the desert unfortunately I did hit and run, the holiday was too short and too intense travel schedule:-P, but actually you can feel the very special feeling to be redone ... with more time ;-)!

really intense! a beautiful picture!
despite the cloudy shadows of Gtabbi version is more readable and visually appealing, I also like the underexposed version, because it describes better the human condition of the man at the moment, almost in darkness, surrounded by nature and it turned.
