Il Taj Mahal non è sicuramente il soggetto fotografico più originale del mondo, ma al suo cospetto non riuscivo dall'esimermi dal fotografarlo.
Qui mi trovavo sulla parte posteriore, aldilà del fiume e ho pensato di provare un taglio "panoramico" che ne esaltasse la perfetta simmetria.

Per i miei gusti è un taglio un po' troppo panoramico ma in effetti si vede la perfezione della simmetria ricercata a tal punto che l' edificio posto ad est della tomba, in tutto e per tutto identico alla moschea che gli sta di fronte è stato eretto proprio per mantenere l'equilibrio simmetrico!
E' un monumento talmente bello da lasciare senza fiato e mi chiedo cosa sarebbe stato se Shah Jahan, invece che essere stato incarcerato per ordine del figlio, avesse avuto il tempo di portare a termine il progetto originario che prevedeva dall' altra parte del fiume ( proprio nel posto in cui è stata scattata la foto ) di una struttura identica solo in marmo nero che avrebbe ospitato il corpo dell' imperatore !!
Quasi per ironia della sorte, l' unico elemento asimmetrico dell' intero complesso è la tomba dell' imperatore che non doveva essere posta accanto a quella dell' amata Mumtaz ma nel mausoleo nero.

Almost ironically, the 'only asymmetrical element of the' whole complex is the tomb of the 'emperor that doveva be placed next to that of 'beloved Mumtaz mausoleum but in black.
