Sometimes saying it as you see it is the best way!

As I said, what we have round our parts are natural and usual and that's why they're kept as grazing watermeadows and not cultivated fields, throughout the centuries - not for ecological or modern environmental reasons - farmers in the past wouldn't have been so aware and more needful of providing enough food for themselves.

I haven't been out since London - it took quite a physical toll on me, not least a horrible blister that caused by walking about in damp shoes all day. The furthest I'll go is to get milk and bread.

I think you missed a sunrise landscape that I posted up early yesterday morning?

I've driven past fields with black plastic encased hay bales emerging from the flood water, so it's not all given over to grazing, Tim, but certainly most of it is.

Sorry you've not been up to going out. Blisters can be such a pain in the .... / foot!

I've not been on Juza much for the past couple of days - too busy taking photos, amongst other things - so I may have missed some stuff....

Thank you very much, Giulietta - I am so pleased you like it!
I am, however, unfamiliar with the word 'chiarista'....

Un saluto
Ann :))

What I was saying is that they're an integral part of the natural drainage and water management and obviously is not an exact science. But people are always surprised to see such flooding year in year out. We're not talking about the excesses a couple of years ago or what's happened in the Lake District etc.

I do put so much effort into big expensive days out that a minor injury (the blister has burst) and some physical recovery is often needed, I could have got similar from 15 mile hike nearby. That's why this site suits me better than that other one!

Tomorrow looks even b etter so might venture out and go somewhere where little walking is required. Train/bus to Hamble for sunset and dusk is a nice thought!

Thank you very much, Clara! We've both been noticing the light in the mist recently, it would seem...... :))

This, I think, would make a lovely greetings card, as you could also add lettering to both top or bottom.

Good idea, Tim.
This image has reached the number one spot over on Blip :))
