(Ship-breaking yards of Old Dhaka, Bangladesh) - Fa un certo che specchiarmi di nuovo in quegli occhi neri ed è sempre difficile per me riuscire a pubblicare foto di questo tipo. Oltre ad una passione sfrenata che ho per la fotografia, che dovrebbe spingermi a farlo, credo ci sia anche una sorta di obbligo morale nel cercare di trasmettere con i miei scatti il significato di quello che io stesso ho avuto la fortuna di vivere. Mi piacerebbe tanto riuscire a trasmettere i suoni, gli odori, i colori, le voci e i sorrisi delle migliaia di persone e bambini che ho cercato, sempre con il massimo impegno e rispetto, di fotografare. Bambini che ho stretto tra le braccia, con cui ho diviso te e biscotti seduto nella polvere, nelle banchine delle stazioni, con cui ho diviso i lettini delle carrozze sleeping-class, con cui ho giocato calciando palloni bucati e bambini che mi hanno preso per mano perchè, con me, volevano percorrere un po di strada. Sguardi autentici sul viso di anime straordinarie che sprigionano una ricchezza che viene misurata non in base a quello che possiedono ma per ciò che sono.
