Paroaria gularis

............. nice if the question refers to the species you should treat

Paroaria gularis

dominicana www.iucnredlist.org/details/22721587/0

gularis www.iucnredlist.org/details/22736352/0

looks are not certain of the identification, by gularis in the Dominican are two very similar species

the one you should be photographed Dominican much more rare and endemic in Brazil, so it depends on where you photographed

Dominican www.iucnredlist.org/details/22721587/0

gularis www.iucnredlist.org/details/22736352/0

Sigismondi, I photographed in Brazil ... but I see that both species can stay in Brazil, precisely ..

I would say that the lack of black on the red head, yellow beak uniform directs us much more to the Dominican ........... but between subspecies, age, that can change its plumage, I would not be sure. If you see the images that run quite confused

You should send it to an expert in South America

www.birdlife.org/datazone/species/factsheet/22721587

Scusa per il pasticcio

excuse maybe I should investigate before, but watching these two reliable link with pictures and images tend to share gularis, bib and back glossy black, seem diagnostic in differentiating the two species.

ibc.lynxeds.com/species/red-capped-cardinal-paroaria-gularis

ibc.lynxeds.com/species/red-cowled-cardinal-paroaria-dominicana

If you see the range of the Dominican it is limited to the east of Brazil, so if it is photographed in that area is definitely gularis, at the link below the areal

www.birdlife.org/datazone/species/factsheet/22721587

Sorry about the mess

Pilherodius pileatus

I saw Marco Valentini has already made quite clear that the species is

Capped heron
