second test Varano sent on February 23, 2015 (13:21) by Marco Severin. 7 comments, 310 views. [retina]

at 300mm, 1/640 f/5.6, ISO 100, hand held.

for me the picture is beautiful, I love it very much sincerely, as a composition. I state that I try to review a bit 'more detail because you asked, as they say, and I put my hands on to say that my leaves commit the time that is being other "professionals"
If I have to, so I would say that what convinces me completely nn is the maf, I often read on forums and books devoted to the highest point of sharpness has to start from the eyes which in your case does not seem to me completely in focus.
Then step on the subjective taste I closed a little 'thus giving a little' more detail to the right hind leg limb very big and unattractive nails.
But you know, the lizard is now and not now, does not give you all the time to reason ..... I conclude renewing compliments, ??because I reasoned almost absurd and especially with hindsight ... The photo I love it!

Thank you so much, and the passage of time dedicated; actually your speech was attuabilissimo, because it is a young lizard, and therefore much slower than a lizard. I probably would have had to raise the ISO to 2-400, and close a little bit; working with the times I could maybe get to 8-9, and then I would have had everything much lizard on fire! You're right, I have material to study for the next shots, so thank you!
Marco.

I forgot, try lowering a little 'time if you are standing there, 1/640 is used to immobilize a moving subject, if you were to 300 mm could even push next 1/320 -1/400 if the goal is a stabilized test could make it even 1/250, and then as they say always commenting on my photos if you have one when you can use a tripod ..... I also I bought one new non-Chinese these days ..

Yes, indeed it was a photo a bit improvised, and the little experience I made many mistakes ... I was at 1/640 because I was trying to freeze the battlements Indians very beautiful, when I hit him.
In fact, the raw is too dark! For the tripod I've got one too, but in that case it would be a bit awkward to use.
Anyway, thank you again very much for the advice, I find them extremely useful and constructive!

A greeting,
Marco.
