Ciao Davide,la foto è di due giorni fà ,alle Saline di Priolo(SR) oasi ottimamente condotta dalla LIPU.Per quanto riguarda la tua cortese precisazione,secondo la nuova guida del Birdwatcher di Peter Hayman e Rob Hume ,in periodo invernale il combattente ha becco di colore griggio scuro e leggermente ricurvo e piccola testa uniforme su collo piuttosto lungo:aspettiamo il parere di altri colleghi per un certo chiarimento.e comunque grazie,Salvo.

Ciao Salvo, per quanto riguarda la specie non ci sono dubbi...è un combattente maschio! Il colore e la forma del becco sono caratteristici, così come il capo piccolo con il corpo massiccio! La pettegola è molto diversa!
La mia domanda sul periodo nasceva dal colore del piumaggio del dorso, che iniziava ad avere segni delle screziature riproduttive e dal fatto che in Italia non è così frequente vederlo svernante...ma magari è già in migrazione.
Considera che la questione del piumaggio invernale o estivo varia molto da individuo a individuo: ad esempio tra i gabbiani comuni ce ne sono alcuni che hanno già il cappuccio nero completo e alcuni con ancora l'abito invernale!
Comunque rimane un documento interessante!! Molto più che se fosse stata una pettegola...
Hello Except, as regards the species there is no doubt ... is a male fighter! The color and shape of the beak are characteristic, as well as the small head with the massive body! The gossip is very different!
My question on the period arose from the color of the plumage of the back, which began to have signs of mottling reproductive and that in Italy it is not so common to see wintering ... but maybe it's already in migration.
Considers that the question of the summer or winter plumage varies greatly from individual to individual: for example between the common gulls there are some who have the full black hood and some even with the winter dress!
