Si comporta bene lo Star Adventurer? Come ti trovi? A vedere dalla foto, nonostante non ci sia l'autoguida, mi pare un buon inseguimento. Hai fatto anche altre prove?

In effetti 120" alla focale del quadrupletto non son pochi da fare senza guida e se è così lo Star Adventure è proprio un bel giocattolino... complimenti per la ripresa

No, al momento nessuna guida, sto pensando ad un Orion 50 o simili con qhy5, da usare a casa o quando posso portare a spasso più peso.
L'unico problema è che sono sbilanciato ad ovest per la maggior parte del cielo, con solo il contrappeso standard, e perdo molti sub(almeno il 40%).
Ho effettuato anche altre riprese, e ad esempio sul doppio ammasso di Perseo ho perso solo un sub in un'ora. Non so se prendere un altro contrappeso 'dedicato' o cosa... Alla fine montando l'auto guida sulla seconda vite del braccio della declinazione potrei risolvere e restare comunque attorno ai 4.3kg di carico escluso il contrappeso. Per ora sono a 3.7kg!
Quando potrò permettermi il peso e l'ingombro di una heq5 avrò già dimestichezza con i software di guida almeno, ed il salto non sara brutale immagino. Vedremo! Per ora sono soddisfatto di questo set-up, vorrei solo bilanciarlo meglio, appunto. Posterò qualche altra immagine ripresa, che ho comunque su astrobin.

No, at the moment no guide, I'm thinking about a 50 or similar with Orion qhy5, to use at home or when I can carry around more weight.
The only problem is that they are biased to the west for most of the sky, with only the standard counterweight, and lose many sub (at least 40%).
I also made other occasions, for example on the double cluster in Perseus I only lost a sub in an hour. I do not know whether to take another counterweight 'dedicated' or what ... At the end of the cars driving on the second mounting screw of the declination arm I could fix and still remain at around 4.3kg load excluding the counterweight. Right now they are at 3.7kg!
When I can afford the weight and bulk of a HEQ5 I'll already be familiar with the software driving at least, and the jump will not be brutal guess. We will see! To orto be satisfied with this set-up, I would just balance it better, in fact. I will post some other image recovery, which I still have on astrobin. Grazie!

Ho anch'io un piccolo cercatore da 50 che uso a volte nei setup leggeri con la magzero e ti confermò la bontà della guida (a 750 mm di focale stelle perfette).
Direi che lo Star Adventurer allora si comporta benino! Non pensavo riuscisse a guidare bene a quelle focali senza guida.
Certo un Heq5 è un'altra storia, ma come trasportabilità non c'è confronto con lo Star Adventurer. è proprio il compagno ideale per le riprese in montagna o cmq in serate in cui vuoi avere il setup più leggero possibile (riprese a grande campo). Anche come consumi energetici ho visto che è molto contenuto, quindi si risparmia il peso anche di una batteria da 12V ingombrante.
I also have a small finder 50 that I use sometimes in light setup with MagZero and you confirmed the goodness of the guide (a 750 mm focal length Perfect Stars).
I would say that the Star Adventurer then behaves pretty well! I did not think he could ride well at those focal lengths without a guide.
Certainly a HEQ5 is another story, but as there is no comparison with the portability Star Adventurer. it is the ideal companion for shooting in the mountains or in Cmq evenings where you want to have the setup as light as possible (shooting wide-field). Pure io avevo adocchiato lo Star Adventure ma poi per mancanza di test in rete ho preferito una eq3 per andare sul sicuro... purtroppo questa va benissimo per una reflex e per i larghi campi che voglio fare ma come trasportabilità in viaggio ti porta ad avere dei limiti
