Dipinse due tele uguali, due bellissimi paesaggi, di cui una fu collocata al sicuro all'interno della bottega, l'altra fu lasciata su un cavalletto davanti la porta, di giorno e di notte. Nel giro di pochissimo tempo la tela lasciata fuori era piena di "scarabocchi", tagli, bruciature e quant'altro possibile ed immaginabile, praticamente... distrutta! Le due tele furono poi esposte insieme a testimonianza di come l'intervento maldestro dell'uomo avesse potuto agire sulla bellezza e la perfezione della natura!
