I Sibillini hanno sempre esercitato un 'fascino dark' sull'immaginazione dei popoli di tutta Europa. Il nome della catena montuosa deriva dalla grotta dell'antico oracolo della Sibilla Appenninica sul monte Sibilla. Pizzo del Diavolo è il toponimo che tramanda la sinistra fama di Ponzio Pilato, condannato a morte senza sepoltura da Tiberio, legato su un carro di bufali indiavolati e precipitato nel lago di Pilato (sotto la cima del Mt.
