It represents well the character of the people, always unperturbed, polite but detached and constantly amused by the funny round tourist silly behavior.

Mi piace molto il fatto che ci siano persone di tutte le età, intente a fare nulla (il che appare come l'attività precipua del cubano medio) e incuriosite dalla mia presenza. Trovo rappresenti bene il carattere di quella gente, sempre imperturbabile, cortese ma distaccata e un pò divertita dai buffi comportamenti dello sciocco turista di turno.
Si ha sempre l'impressione di avere a che fare con gente che la sa lunga, il che è vero: girando per l'isola ci si accorge di quanto impenetrabili siano certi ambiti, i cubani non dicono mai tutta la verità sul loro stile di vita e sulle loro difficoltà, preferendo mettere enfasi sugli aspetti positivi della realtà in cui vivono. Ma i loro sguardi non mentono mai.
Il brano che ho inserito a commento della foto è un'esaltazione dei valori rivoluzionari, pregevole a mio parere dal punto di vista poetico (il mio estratto è solo la fine di una lunga poesia) ma che si presta a diverse chiavi di lettura: se da una parte riesce con facilità ad accattivarsi il lettore con la tematica dell'affrancamento dalla miseria, dall'altra non è difficile riscontrare un tenore fortemente propagandistico, sia pure in una chiave "alta".
Cuba mi ha molto intrigato dal punto di vista sociologico e antropologico, per cui "temo" che vi ammorberò con altri scatti dello stesso tenore. |
