The "Mighty Fortress" by Stellata, was built during the eleventh century, expanded and enhanced by the Este family in 1362. Its strategic position on the Po allowed her to control navigation along the Rocca di Ficarolo, the country polesano the leaning tower, mail on the opposite bank, which was connected by a chain that prevented or allow the passage of ships. Destroyed in 1521 was quickly rebuilt. Detail is the configuration of the walls, placed sideways, the better to resist the enemy artillery. The star-shaped structure probably dates back to before 1570. This characteristic shape gave the village its name. The fortress, as can also be seen from the photo, has been severely damaged by the earthquake of May of 2012 that hit the Emilia, he is still waiting for the securing and restoration that would appear next.

It existed a twin on the other side of the Po swept away by one of the most famous full of Po handed down historians.

Look what you put in Juza Ferrara Places like many others your shots but who goes to Ferrara does not see it as such will never see the famous Delights Este, Ferrara is far away.
But if Ferrara as Place includes all tell me the province and even I began to put the extensive place, the rest in Montagnana there are shots of the mountain.

Hello
