I find it very beautiful, makes it a very natural light condition it really is in a similar situation, the diagonal and the yield of white flowers in the shade I really like.
In processing the pictures and read the various comments, I realize that try as I might never be able to draw pictures like that, I lack the adequate capacity of PP.
Only about how many shots have you done?

@ Claudio, your visit I was very happy, on this picture then I cared at all times from capture to post makes me even more pleasure.
Thank you

Sigismondi
I realize that try as I might never be able to edit photos as well

Bullshit! if I did that I only have four years that you can be successful digital photographer in you too.
for shots, as usual, I do not remember but generally in these conditions led backlight (the sun into the camera) I 5 sometimes 7 shots in row of exposures then I choose the ones I servono..in nose in this case I would say one for the sky, one for sun and one for the central part of the sun, one for the foreground and one for the shadow in the foreground lit, then I also used a photo that is the focus stacking (semhowever pre 5 shots in row of exposures) with focus only on the first floor to have available the most depth of field possibile.Il all combined with PS without the use of masks light because it does not yet used it.

thanks for your visit

Very beautiful this cascade of flowers in controluce..ottima composition. I'm a little lost in the light as you realized, because of shots I make always only one and I do not do mergers, but this is my problem.
The fact remains that you have managed very well and the result is perfect.
Congratulations.
Hello, Gabriel.

Simone, I choose to make wishes in this because, for me, of course, is among the most beautiful ones you published on the site.
Many dear greetings.

albeit slight post

Poppy in that you've commented before I can assicurarae that there is loooong but much more ;-)
after two years almost exactly definitely would change something in the post, type lighter that boulder tipped close to the sun, and above all the heavens that I find it very gloomy.
Hello and thank you for the visit

even for someone like me absolutely no good in postproduction (a euphemism for not call 'na crap) it is quite clear that the photos of poppies required a bit' of work and, I must tell you, I'd be very curious to know how you did to obtain a field of flowers in shadow by a feeling of suspension in time and in the light (i repeat, from hyperrealism painting): i'd be really curious to know the steps ... but maybe it's like asking a chef the secret ingredients . As for this image, you're probably right: lighten the stone would make it more consistent with the nearby rocks, but a bit 'lower, rocks that have the same orientation. The fact is that you would never ...

maybe it is like asking a chef the secret ingredients.

but figured ;-) at least not with me..il problem that the ingredients after each dish I forget them resoundingly :-D
I go enough attempts without a real recipe, but I continue to stir until the result satisfies me.
now in this I do not remember how many shots are, I imagine two for the fire and at least two for the show sky and earth.
with the dodge and burn it manages to lighten the rock but only with the help of the luminosity mask to avoid creating halos or borders, which at the time I did not know usarle.il problem, however, are the rays of the sun that overlap, then you must retouch also altri..non is so immediate: - /
of the poppy I try to explain herelcosa Post.

Only a few days I began to "explore" your galleries with "method and perseverance" :-D because in fact they are built with great shots that otherwise risked losing me (but it also says "better late than never").
Since I also like to try my hand with multi-shot techniques, I could not comment, although late, this photo that I consider one of the best.
I would say that, yes, the light has repaid the wait, but the ability to seize it is all your doing.

Beautiful composition and excellent management of the light.
But I wanted to ask you something about the lens with which you have accomplished this shot and I'm thinking of buying:
in the various reviews around the web always read that his main flaw is the flare, but in your shots do not see the slightest presence ... it is the result of work in post production, or the 14-24 is not so tragic in against the light?
Greetings!

Hi Davide.
I do not know that goal backlit does not introduce flare.e not know objective backlit maintains contrast and sharpness as the 14/24. (But I've tried many).
The problem of a very large lens and very exposed to 14mm is that even at 45 degrees from the sun you take in a lot of light and then flare.con the right precautions are easily solved.
The use of tripod is almost mandatory, double shot with a hand in front of the sun, solves the problem in controluce.a mano.libera must be careful not to frame with side sun backlit instead flare is well outlined and with clone or patch sometimes it can take off easily.
The starlet sul.sole closed think is unparalleled diaphragm.

Hello and thank you Commissioner for the full reply. I have the 16-35 which in turn is not without flare ... I have no hand technique ever used ... :-) I'll try!
Greetings!
