I would like to find a nice cushion of flowers but that was what I found and you have to settle

Ie .. you can find this little bit of entertainment on a top of a mountain and you also have the courage to complain?!? Shame! :-D:-D
Aside from the reproach:-D photo also really like me for the "setting" of the shot and the lighting selective .. as well as the incredible yield of 14-24 backlight! Wow! Maybe .. I would see only a trickle sharper ..
Congratulations Simone .. ;-)
ps: some outputs should make them in the winter will be colder .. but at least you wake up at a decent time! :-D:-D

Beautiful composition "floral", perfectly contained highlights, reflections and flare. It was not easy to pull off a good shot of that situation, congratulations ;-)

Personally, I say it is beautiful, Simone. Unions manuals levels came very well and I think that the result is excellent. Very beautiful splendor of the lights in the foreground and in the background divided by the shaded area that gives diversity and originality of the image. I love it.

thank you to all those who have dedicated themselves to a comment to this photo, I'm glad you enjoyed it to be honest, really like me too:-D:-D:-D

I reply to someone for the record
@ Hilary
Of course I choose tests more arduous to deal with! I speak of the backlight and its lavorone to manage it better.
In my opinion the rocks of the intermediate zone, just behind the purple flowers, should be a little darker. Or at least, however, the darker the face in shadow. But it is a little thing.

believe me there is a little thing I noticed in that area and I ran a few brush strokes on the layer mask too, partly because there is a bit too detachment of light between that area and the stone in thesole.Sul to the side of the light, I can not remember the last time you took a picture with the sun behind:-D now the sun is in the lens I look for a particular almost always even if it is obvious the digfficoltà to handle it in post .. there's nothing for me to do the backlight is always a plus and having the right equipment is essential .. when will you let me try the D800? ;-)
one last thing that probably someone to hear, and I'm sure you too, now with 80 filter drugged me, it is my prerogative lately in my photos look as well as cuts in light color in particular also those hot, cold, in the area incriminated in the shade, I applied a light blue filter to cool the shadows and pull still more flowers in the foreground, I was light but according to you is aa nice way to follow in the future? someone I'd like to express an opinion (we're here to talk about photography and public a photo if I do it mainly to get confirmation on my "work" ;-)

@ Ermanno
.. maybe I would see only a trickle sharper ..

lately I realize that I too soften the shadows above all, perhaps due in part to the use of the glow filter that I use to soften the lights and colors, just apply it to the whole picture of laziness shadows that comprese.credo flowers in shade darker than that could be even more contrasted agree.

the incredible yield of 14-24 backlight!

makes you damn for the flare but it resolves tobbastanza easily with the makeup of the hand in front of the sun, but it is a kind of flare rather small and with the healing brush or patch you can easily take it off, though not against the spring even if the shots in front of a laser beam:-D

@ Max
perfectly contained highlights

every time I start the PC to process a backlight come to mind struggles with you and caterina on the high lights .. and the sun burned ... and then do not say that you do not want to hear 8-)

@ Joseph
The unions manuals levels came very well

I still can not truly understand how the hell do you merge two exposures manually with a different focus, the focus here on the first floor which was a few inches from the lens toI had to melt it a little but did not condemn the confusion of grass played in my favor, a clinical eye if he wants to be able to notice the fusion line, but we ignore it:-D

thanks again to everyone for the appreciation
a greeting
simone

Piecere known that we are "neighbors"! The pace of Zovallo is one of my favorite destinations for trekking and pictures! Spwsso also happens to it in the summer to calculate tion times and bad miss the sunrise!

But come on ... even if the light was beginning to be hostile you've handled it well and you have composed a beautiful shot!

Congratulations!

last thing you probably someone it may concern, and I'm sure you too, now with 80 filter drugged me, it is my prerogative lately in my photos look as well as cuts in light color in particular also those hot, cold in the offending area in the shade, I applied a light blue filter to cool the shadows and pull still more flowers in the foreground

to this I had never thought about it, but definitely intrigued me even though I actually find myself always filled with rows of blue and cyan, though perhaps apply the filter after correcting the WB might be interesting

thanks

Lorenzo, thanks for your contribution

gianmarco after the WB said well you must be an overlap otherwise you notice the delicate hand post and it is worse, the fact remains that to get the same result you can go different ways ;-)
I often see pictures at sunset for example, that more than warm tone seem biased by a dominant over all the photos including lights and shadows, I think the latter should be much less affected by the same hue of the lights .. personal opinion of course, maybe I'm wrong certainly in the future .. I will try more and more to develop this idea, although I'm sure some of you have not invented anything ;-)

when did you make me try the D800?
... next winter we find ourselves in the Dolomites with our mutual friend (Gian), and so we change machine. ;-)

try to over come off even the color of light, in particular, heat, cold
well I I do it in all the pictures that have different lighting and is nothing more than meet the actual lighting conditions. In the sense that affect where the rays of a rising sun is logical there is intonation and warm on the contrary, part of the image or shadow penumbra intonation will definitely colder because it illuminated the sky. And to achieve this there are two ways: from an image cold and heat only the parties directly lit by the sun ... or vice versa.
Inin your picture you have a lot of light, but it is also just do not work too obvious because there is a risk that the skill will turn into vulgarity.

@ Gianmarco: odd that you complain of files full of cyan and blue as the Canon is well known and proven intonation give much hotter than the Nikon! It's not that depend on a particular setting of your WB?

Hello :-)
